Aphrodite’s Trail Mix

This glammed up trail mix is for the modern goddess on the go! My Aphrodite’s Trail Mix is loaded with libido boosting minerals and vitamins, that naturally enhance energy and mood, aid fertility, and reduce period cramping.

I have been munching on this delicious mix throughout my time in Bali, that I made right before leaving for my trip. While traveling, often it can get tricky and expensive to find healthful foods. I love making a big batch of this delicious Aphrodite’s Trail Mix before I hit the road or travel through the airport. It’s easy to carry and easy to eat, loaded with b-Vitamins and foods considered aphrodisiacs that enhance brain love chemicals.

Aphrodite is the Greek goddess who is associated with beauty, love, pleasure, and fertility, which is why this mix is named after her.

Here’s why the ingredients in this mix aid your feminine vitality, helping you embody your inner Aphrodite.

Pistachios: bring more pleasure into your life! Why? Pistachios are loaded with vitamin B6, which increases the making of dopamine, the reward system neurotransmitter that makes us feel pleasure. Plus, they help to boost progesterone levels, decreasing pesky cramping you might get before your moon comes due to estrogen and progesterone imbalances.

Almonds: are a great fertility food. They are high in the antioxidant vitamin E, which helps protect the follicle that your egg grows in. Vitamin E is also known for its anti-aging effects.

Pumpkin Seeds: are high in the mineral zinc, a beauty mineral that can support clear skin and minimize hair loss. It also revs up the libido, naturally boosting testosterone levels. If you’re worried because you have PCOS and high testosterone, zinc actually helps reduce some of the symptoms PCOS comes with: excessive acne and hair loss. This is because zinc helps block the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which causes hair follicles to diminish.

Shredded Coconut: are high in MCT’s (medium-chain triglycerides), which can help increase insulin sensitivity to help maintain healthy blood sugar levels. When we have issues with utilizing glucose, we might crave sugar or overeat, which then cause us to feel bloated and weighed down in our body.

Cacao Nibs: cacao is the raw form of chocolate, which we know as the “love drug” as it contains anandamide, a bliss molecule neurotransmitter. It also contains phenylethylamine, a hormone-like substance which elevates the mood, as well as it can increase the brain’s level of serotonin, which makes us feel positive and happy.

Goji Berries: are called “happy berries” in China, as they boost the libido and support adrenal function. Low sex drive in both men and women can occur from low testosterone levels, which goji berries naturally help boost! When women go into their peri-moonpause to moonpause shift, their adrenals take over testosterone and estrogen. If the adrenals aren’t working optimally, levels may fall to low, causing vaginal dryness and low libido.

I’m enjoying this trail mix in Bali so much! I hope you do too! Tag #moderngoddesslifestyle with your trail mix photo so I can see where you’re eating it during your travels!
